Synopsis

55 years ago, at the end of the war, when all hope seemed to have been lost in the former Eastern region of Nigeria, a group of visionaries came together from different walks of life to start what became the Rangers International Football Club of Enugu. The legendary “Never Say Die” spirit of this team was born from the determination of these players who lost everything to the war and refused to be put down. This documentary, captured over 5 years, features legends of this team and indeed of Nigerian Football, including former Nigerian national team and Rangers legends, Christian Chukwu, Emmanuel Okala, Charles Okonkwo, Sam ‘404’ Onyeaka and late Nigeria Red Devils/Green Eagles and ECN/Rangers legend – Luke ‘Jazz Bukana’ Okpala. Also the late great Julie Alale ‘Madam Rangers’ (Welfare Officer – Rangers/Green Eagles). “Never Say Die: The Story and History of Rangers International Football Club” directed by Nze Ed Emeka Keazor for the Centre For Memories/Enugu Rangers FC.
